KANSAS CITY, Kansas — A Marginal Risk of severe storms is in place for parts of Kansas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin beginning Tuesday, May 12 and running through Wednesday, May 13.

The Storm Prediction Center issued this outlook at 12:55 AM CDT on Monday, May 11, covering a corridor from southeast Kansas and far northeastern Oklahoma northeastward into northern Illinois, northwest Indiana and far southeast Wisconsin.

What Is a Marginal Risk

A Marginal Risk is the lowest level on the severe weather outlook scale. It means isolated severe storms are possible, but widespread or major severe weather outbreaks are not expected.
